favorite movie
My all time favorite movie is The Sandlot! It has everything, friendship, comedy, action. I saw it at the movie theater as a kid when it came out, and I still watch it to this day. It will be my favorite movie (FOR-E-VER!!!) My 2nd favorite is Lord of the Rings, especially The Two Towers. I love Frodo and Sam'e friendship, and I still get excited when the trees start talking!
Proudest Professional Accomplishment
My proudest professional accomplishment was becoming board certified. In order to become board certified in a specialty, a dentist must complete a residency program and pass rigorous written and oral exams. Imagine being in a small room with older, more experienced dentists grilling you about every aspect of your field! It was a crazy time, but I am so glad that I did it. Every year, I must complete additional requirements and continuing education in order to remain board certified. Board certification means that you can trust that your dentist is remaining at the forefront of the field and staying up to date on best practices.
biggest inspiration
in my career
My young patients are my biggest inspiration. I love how little kids look at the world with such joy and wonder. Everything is so special, even going to the dentist! I love how they get so excited about their new toothbrushes and the toys, not to mention a wiggly tooth! I try to keep that same mindset as I live my life. Every moment, big or small, is something special, and is to be cherished. The little ones help remind me to 'stop and smell the roses'.

Dr. Tyffani was born and raised in Memphis, TN. As the daughter of an educator, she knew from a young age that she wanted to work with children or work in healthcare. As a board certified pediatric dentist, she has been able to combine her love of both in the most satisfying way.
After graduating from high school in Memphis, Dr. Tyffani attended college at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Fl. During this time, she found a dentist to mentor her and joined the local pre-dental society. She fully immersed herself in the field, and she was all in from there!
During dental school at Howard University, Dr. Tyffani participated in various organizations such as the American Student Dental Association and the Student National Dental Association. She felt a draw to the pediatrics department, but she wanted to spend some time in practice before making the decision to specialize in one area.
After dental school, Dr. Tyffani joined National Health Service Corps. Through this organization, she worked in the underserved area of Laredo, TX as a general dentist at a community health center for four years. During this time, she recognized her ability to connect with children on a deeper level and decided to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry. She completed her specialty training through University of Texas San Antonio, Laredo Extension program.
She has now been practicing as a pediatric dentist for 6 years, continuing to hone her skills through various courses and continuing education along the way. Dr. Tyffani felt that it was time to open her own doors in order to provide the personalized and specialized care that she believes in. Dr. Tyffani understands your little ones’ needs, and she will treat them like they were her own.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, daughter and step daughter. You can often find her on the weekends at Barnes and Noble with a book and a coffee.
